Meet Dr. Wendy McNally
Hello! My name is Wendy, and I’m a chiropractor in Russell, where I have the privilege of working with people of all ages and from all walks of life. My goal is simple yet powerful: to help each and every one of my patients reach their full health potential. I firmly believe that it’s easier to stay healthy than to get healthy, which is why I focus on proactive, maintenance-based care in my practice. Preventing issues before they arise is key to long-term well-being.
My journey into chiropractic care began as a teenager after an injury. At the time, I was introduced to chiropractic, and the philosophy behind it made perfect sense to me. I was fascinated by the idea that the body has an incredible ability to heal itself when given the proper support. This understanding of the body’s natural healing power sparked my passion for chiropractic care, and I’ve been dedicated to it ever since.
I went on to pursue my education at the University of Ottawa, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Nutrition, which laid a solid foundation for understanding the intricate relationship between our bodies and overall health. Afterward, I graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 1995; I became a registered chiropractor in Ontario and a member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario (www.cco.on.ca). In 1997, I opened Russell Chiropractic, and it has been an amazing experience watching my practice grow and evolve alongside my patients.
What I love most about my work is the opportunity to build lasting relationships with my patients and see the positive impact chiropractic care can have on their lives. Whether someone is seeking relief from pain or simply looking to enhance their wellness, my focus is always on helping them feel their best. I believe that good health is not just about the absence of illness, but about feeling vibrant, strong, and capable in every area of life.
If you're unsure whether chiropractic care can help you, I’m always happy to chat on the phone to answer any questions you might have. It's important to me that you feel informed and confident in your decision to pursue care.
When I’m not at Russell Chiropractic, you’ll likely find me camping in the great outdoors or traveling south to visit my daughter. Life is about balance, and I love the opportunity to recharge and spend quality time with my family.

Benefits of Chiropractic Care
Pain Relief
- Chiropractic adjustments are commonly used to help alleviate lower back pain, neck pain, and even headaches. They aim to restore spinal alignment, which can help reduce pain and inflammation.
- Chiropractic adjustments can improve range of motion and flexibility, making it easier for patients to move without pain or stiffness.
- Spinal misalignments can contribute to poor posture, which in turn can lead to pain and discomfort. Chiropractors often provide corrective exercises, postural advice, and spinal adjustments to help patients improve their posture.
- Chiropractic care has been shown to help reduce the frequency and severity of tension headaches and migraines. It can also address neck stiffness, which may be a contributing factor to these types of headaches.
- Chiropractic adjustments help improve coordination, flexibility, and muscle strength. Many athletes use chiropractic care to optimize their performance, prevent injuries, and recover faster after intense physical activity.
- Regular chiropractic care may help reduce stress by relaxing tight muscles, improving circulation, and promoting a balanced nervous system.
- The spine houses the spinal cord, which is a major component of the central nervous system. Chiropractic adjustments aim to ensure that the spine is aligned properly, which can support overall nervous system health and function. This may have a positive effect on various systems in the body.
- People who receive chiropractic care often report better sleep quality, possibly due to reduced pain, improved alignment, and reduced stress.
- Chiropractic care is often used to help with back pain, pelvic pain, and discomfort that may arise during pregnancy. It can also help align the pelvis, which may help with easier labor and delivery.
- Chiropractors take a holistic approach to health, considering lifestyle factors like diet, exercise, and stress management. This comprehensive approach to health can help you feel better in both body and mind.
- Regular chiropractic care can help keep your body in proper alignment, which can prevent injuries, especially those that come from repetitive strain, poor posture, or muscle imbalances.
